 Product Description

The Shelter

“It has the best performance to weight ratio of the bunch.” ~Backpacker Magazine
Jurries, Amy. “Room for One” Backpacker Magazine Sept. 2015: 55-57. Print.

Perfect for hikers on-the-go. Our Cirriform SW (single wall) is loved by thru-hikers and minimalists for its simplicity. With its one-piece design, just pitch the fly and you’re done - no fussing with multiple tent pieces and cords at the end of your long day on the trail. A compact footprint lets the shelter slide into tight spaces with ease while maintaining a surprisingly spacious interior.

A unique, two-point beak provides extra vestibule space at the front of the shelter while the integrated bathtub floor and no-see-um mesh provide protection from everything you want to keep out. Our ‘OSAS’ system provides a quick way to cinch the side mesh panels shut. It’s a great way to block out a cold breeze in the middle of the night (see a video).

For this shelter, we partner a 0.8 osy Dyneema® Composite Fabric rain fly (formerly Cuben Fiber) with a Silnylon floor. We feel this provides a great balance of attributes for most hikers. For ultimate weight savings, upgrade to a Dyneema® floor and make other customizations using our Build Your Own option.

 Warranty Information

YAMA is proud of the quality of its products.  Should you, the original owner, ever have a problem with your shelter caused by a defect in workmanship, please contact us to arrange repair or replacement.  The warranty does not cover damage due to accidents, normal wear and tear, or misuse, and the buyer is responsible for returning the item at their own expense. Repairs not covered by the warranty can usually be performed for a reasonable fee.

YAMA will do its best to address warranty repairs and replacements in a timely manner, however, be aware that YAMA may close periodically, sometimes for extended periods (we need to get out in the woods sometimes!).  During these times, if you have a warranty issue, send us an email and we'll reply as soon as we can. Reasonable efforts will be made to take care of the issue quickly, but in most cases you will have to wait until the shop reopens.
